Creighton: Ghost Screens (Automatic Idea: Cut Ghost 1 pass away)

  • As you can see from the multiple years these clips are from ghost screens that have been a part of Creighton’s Early O attack for awhile
  • Mainly utilized for a shooter Creighton has two unique concepts that you will see in this compilation. These are trailing into the ghost after an early ball screen from big (usually slipped to the rim) and also the concept I like the most which is cutting one pass away in the direction of the ghost screener (usually single side corner)
  • Ghost screens are a great random element to utilize within your early and late-clock offensive attack, but sometimes it can be hard to create space for the ghost to garner any type of advantage especially if you are playing 5 out. A great counter to that is cutting 1 pass away immediately into the ghost screen to pull away a defender and create space for a potential drive.

Indiana Pacers Switch Attack: Ghosting the Switch

  • This is a nice concept to attack a switching defense on the ball.
  • Often times a switching defense would like to promote stagnation of the opposing teams offense. This is a great way to add another action and take advantage of putting an opposing big in an action from a position they are not used to defending

Penn State ES Ghost Flare Bilbao

  • Just a heck of a set here for a shooter from Penn State. Gets creative with it being able to layer the Bilbao with the Ghost Flare.
  • Favorite D1 Offense to watch over the past 2 years would highly recommend watching them.

Partizan: Cross Grenade Flare

  • First saw this concept of flaring the grenade handoff from Bayern Munich last year in a video posted by Slappin Glass. Always great stuff. Especially if you can sell the mid-post touch for half a second

Memphis Grizzlies Turn Screen Rejects

  • The turn screen has become an increasingly popular action recently and can be seen ran at almost any level of basketball currently.
  • Like how Memphis like how Memphis utilizes these rejects for Ja to counter the overplay and take advantage of his downhill driving gravity.
