Utah Jazz ES Double Backside Pin

  • This is one of the most frequently run sets from the Jazz and rightfully so.
  • A great way to attack a non-switching defense as they prey on the low man in help off the ES Double. Would be better against aggressive coverages.
  • Jazz will also go to this set if the opposing team has a rim-protecting or less mobile big guarding Markannen or Olynk

Heat & Jazz: Dead Corner Actions

  • The pass to the dead corner (swing to corner with no advantage) can be tricky to work out of the generate a good flow whether that’s off a miss or after your set.
  • Here’s a pair of ideas you can utilize as potential automatics for dead-corner passes. In order to keep the flow of your possession alive and play out of penetration, a short roll, or just get the ball to the other side of the floor & respaced smoother

NBA: Blind Handoffs vs Pressure D

  • One of the main keys to attacking a pressure halfcourt defense is having a way to alleviate pressure within the flow of your offense.
  • This is where the flash to blind handoff comes into play and is a great building action as well with the flash man having a live dribble and allowing opportunities for players off the ball to get into splits/reverse splits.
  • Most of these teams do this out of some type of 4-out spacing, if you play 5 out try utilizing your flash man as the player furthest away from the ball and taking away that opposite low man from help to open up more opportunities for uncontested layups cutting off it.
